Thank you to the Saluda community for embracing the Pop-Up Pantry and working together to provide nutritious, supplementary groceries to our neighbors experiencing food insecurity.

2023 Summary:
Because of your generous donation of time:
95 volunteers donated 4,540 hours with our neighbors
Volunteers provided indoor, personal choice shopping
Volunteers operated a Winter Closet to provide coats and blankets
Volunteers served as leaders guiding the expansion of the Pantry service

Our shelves were overflowing with healthy, nutritious food
Our facilities were warm and welcoming
Our coat closet was bountiful
Our services and operations were organized and effective
We were able to launch the Farm To Neighbor program, providing nutritious, locally-sourced fruits and vegetables to our customers, while supporting our local farmers.

Because you cared and shared with our neighbors throughout 2023:
The Saluda Pop-Up Pantry distributed over 159,576 pounds of food to our community. Organizations that provided food for our community include:
MANNA - 137,014 lbs
Food Lion - 16,728 lbs
Dollar General - 2,977 lbs
Wildflour Bakery - 2,857 lbs
A total of 23,264 pounds of fresh, nutritious produce was purchased from local farmers using grant funds to support our Farm to Neighbor program.
The Pantry served 12,908 individuals from 4,566 families, which included 3,503 children.
Saluda neighbors selected coats, blankets, and other winter clothing to stay warm this winter
